Poughkeepsie is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Poughkeepsie follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Absolutely loved every experience I’ve had with this bakery! The Pastry Garden has made cakes for every special occasion in my life. They recently made an engagement cake (and cookie tray) that was beautiful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The presentation was second to none. I highly recommend this bakery for all of their baked goods.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience! A month ago, they made the most beautiful and delicious cake for our son’s christening, so choosing them again for his first birthday was an easy decision. Somehow, they exceeded our expectations all over again! The cake was absolutely stunning, tasted incredible, and was a huge hit with everyone. It’s clear they have so much experience in the industry, and they truly did such a wonderful job. A special thank you to Mary, who was so kind, helpful, and wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. We highly recommend them and can’t wait to order our next cake! You’ve gained a customer for life.

We were looking for a last minute birthday cake for our mom and found it here no problem!! $35 for a small cake plus custom writing and candles was exactly what we needed. We got the raspberry mousse which was delicious. Also bonus next to home goods / tjmaxx if you need last min gifts (which we definitely didn’t!!😅😅😅)

If you are looking for a bakery for a very special occasion, well let me tell you! The Pastry Garden is the place! We celebrated my daughter’s baby shower on April 18, 2026. My daughter’s theme for the shower was “Pink Bows”. The cake I ordered was shown in one of the Pastry Garden pictures and it was out of this world beautiful!! I spoke with Mary and she assured me I would get exactly what I saw. She then told me about the new “Bow” cookie cutters she just got in and how beautiful they were. Well I ordered those, with the cake along with some truffles and cannolis and the baby shower was an absolute hit! Mary did a fantastic job and was so helpful in assisting me on deciding my dessert menu and everything was out of this world delicious! The guests were in awe when they saw that cake and those cookies!! Everything was delivered with care, on time and it was perfect! Thank you Mary and your team! You did a fantastic job and we will definitely be back for more! Thank you Claudette

I love this bakery. I stop in pretty often for assorted pastries and within the last year have gotten all of our cakes from here. We’ve never been disappointed. A few months ago we got our son’s baptism cake here and last week we got his first birthday cake & decorated sugar cookies. We were thrilled with everything. I wish I took more/better photos of everything to show how talented they are. The process of ordering has also been super easy and the girls working are always very nice.
